The National Youth Science Academy's mission is to foster lifelong curiosity and passion for science through informal, collaborative, interdisciplinary learning. By building communities among students, teachers, and professionals, NYSAcademy programs complement, broaden, and enhance the traditional school curriculum, leading to careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and related professions.

Most students who participate in the NYSAcademy's programming attend free of charge - including expenses such as travel, meals, and housing.

• More than 50% of NYSCamp alumni receive a doctorate
• More than 85% of NYSCamp alumni are working in a STEM field
