Help us continue to create STEAM programming!

The mission of the National Youth Science Academy is to inspire lifelong engagement and ethical leadership in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and related professions through our proven educational model for mentoring, challenging, and motivating students. By building communities among students, teachers, and professionals, NYSAcademy programs complement, broaden, and enhance the traditional school curriculum leading to careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and related professions.

Most students who participate in the NYSAcademy's programming attend free of charge - including expenses such as travel, meals, and housing.

See the impact of NYSAcademy's programming:

  • More than 99% of NYSCamp alumni receive at least a bachelor’s degree
  • More than 50% of NYSCamp alumni receive a doctorate
  • More than 85% of NYSCamp alumni are working in a STEM field
  • Nearly 60% of NYSCamp alumni report that the NYSCamp influenced their career choice

Please note: The National Youth Science Academy (NYSAcademy) previously operated as the National Youth Science Foundation (NYSF). To learn more about the rebrand, please click here. We are enthusiastic about the changes that are being made to the organization's identity to serve current and future programs without losing sight of our common history and our strong ties to the state of West Virginia.
