The National Youth Science Camp needs your help to secure a temporary home while we build out our new campus.

Unfortunately, after being our home for more than six decades, we have determined that Camp Pocahontas is no longer a suitable location for the National Youth Science Camp. There were major challenges the last two years that nearly resulted in delegates being sent home early, and while we faced those challenges head-on and solved them as best we could, the strain that the decayed infrastructure of Camp Pocahontas put on our limited staff and resources was palpable. My goal is to run the highest quality program possible, and it’s impossible to do that when our staff are focused on meeting basic human needs rather than interacting with delegates and ensuring they have an amazing and inspiring summer.

Fortunately, we have another option to serve as a bridge facility while we build out our own campus. The alternate location, which those who tuned into the listening sessions got a sneak peek of, is more expensive but necessary.

Will you join us and donate so delegates can continue to learn and grow at camp?

Your gift will provide a safe and improved camp experience for our delegates, staff, and visitors. And from all of us at the Academy:
